[FIRST NAME GOES HERE], 🍷 She had the Board seat BUT she started questioning how she showed up

Hello Reader

Korede had already made it into the room.

She had recently stepped into an executive role on a Board, an achievement many leaders spend years working towards.

But after a few meetings, a different question started bothering her:

Am I actually showing up in this room the way I want to?

Not whether she deserved to be there.

Not whether she had the experience.

Not whether she was capable.

She wanted to become more intentional about how she spoke, when she spoke, how she challenged ideas, and how she communicated her perspective.

She wanted to leave a Board meeting knowing that she had contributed meaningfully, even if nobody walked up to her afterwards and told her so.

And I think there is something important in that.

Because sometimes your next level isn’t about getting into a bigger room.

Sometimes it’s about becoming the woman who knows exactly how to show up once she gets there.

When this client, an Executive Director at The Alternative Bank, began working with me, one of the things we explored was a strength she already had: she was a great listener.

But I helped her see that listening was only half of the equation.

As she puts it:

“The real value comes when, at the right moment, you speak and demonstrate that you have listened, understood the issue and have something meaningful to add.”

That shift changed how she approached the boardroom.

She became more intentional about when to speak.

How to disagree constructively.

How to challenge an idea without simply declaring, “That is wrong.”

How to bring authority without losing grace.

And how to make her contribution visible without trying to become someone she wasn’t.

She describes it this way:

“Today, I have much greater clarity about my next steps, particularly in the boardroom and in my broader leadership journey. I know I am a better product—not because I suddenly became someone different, but because I have become much more intentional about how I behave, how I speak, how I listen and how I contribute.”

Reader, this is Leadership Currency.

It is not simply what you know.

It is how your expertise, presence, reputation, relationships, influence and positioning come together to shape how your value is experienced by other people.

And the higher you rise, the more important that becomes.

That is part of the work we are going to do inside The EPIC Woman.

Not teach accomplished women how to work harder.

You’ve already proved you can do that.

We’re working on something different:

How do you become more intentional about the woman you’re becoming?

How do you position yourself for the rooms, opportunities and assignments you want next?

How do you translate years of experience into greater visibility, influence, opportunity and income?

How do you build the Leadership Currency your next chapter requires?

And how do you make sure that while you’re building a successful career, you’re not leaving the things that matter deeply to you sitting on the shelf?

Because KDA’s transformation didn’t stop in the boardroom.

For more than five years, she had carried an idea for a passion project inspired by her work with the diaspora and her experiences taking her children to summer camps.

She kept thinking about it.

But it remained an idea.

Until our coaching conversations challenged her to do something with it.

Today, she’s actively bringing it to life.

And I love the way she describes what happened:

“She didn’t just coach me for the boardroom; she helped me become more intentional about the person and leader I want to be beyond it.”

That’s the bigger conversation we’re having inside EPIC Woman.

Because maybe your next chapter is a Board seat.

Maybe it’s the C-suite.

Maybe it’s building a portfolio career.

Maybe it’s expanding your business.

Maybe it’s monetising the expertise you’ve accumulated over decades.

Maybe it’s finally giving yourself permission to pursue the idea that has been sitting quietly in the back of your mind for years.

Or maybe you know there is more, but you haven’t quite articulated what “more” looks like yet.

That’s okay.

We begin with clarity.

And over 10 weeks, we do the work of helping you Clarify. Reinvent. Increase Your Leadership Currency. Translate. And Fulfil.

Reader, KDA said something else that stayed with me:

“You may feel you have wasted time, but whenever you wake up, it is your morning.”

I couldn’t agree more.

Your next chapter doesn’t care how long you’ve been thinking about it.

It begins when you decide to become intentional about it.

If that time is now, I would love to work with you inside The EPIC Woman.

Here’s to the woman you’re becoming,

Your next chapter is waiting.

Hello Reader Thank you for spending the last 90 minutes with me. ❤️ I loved the energy in the room today: the questions, the reflections, the moments of recognition, and especially the conversations around what it really means to translate your value. Because if there is one thing I hope you leave today’s masterclass knowing, it is this: Your experience has value. Your expertise has value. But value that isn’t translated can remain invisible. You can be brilliant at what you do, have decades...

Hello Reader In sixty minutes, I am opening the Zoom room, and I want to tell you plainly what is about to happen inside it. For the next 90 minutes, I am going to give you something I have spent over twenty years learning in the rooms where decisions about accomplished women get made. You are going to walk out of this masterclass with four things. One. A clear picture of why the recognition you have earned has not yet translated into the opportunities, income, and influence you have been...

Hello Reader We are just 8 hours away from going live. Before we meet, I want to send you a quick note. Because the women who get the most out of this masterclass are the ones who arrive thinking, not just listening. So between now and 6:00 PM, I want you to carry three questions with you. One. Where might I be holding myself back without realising it? Two. Do the rooms making decisions about me actually understand the value I bring? Three. What have I been waiting for that I actually need to...
