[FIRST NAME GOES HERE], you know something is wrong BUT you just cannot name it yet…

Reader, there is a woman I want to talk to right now.

Maybe it is you. Maybe it is not. But I have been sitting with her for a few days now, and I want to write to her directly before Thursday.

She is accomplished. She has been for a long time. On paper, her career reads like a woman who has already made it.

She has the title, or she is one promotion away from it. She has the credentials. She has the recognition. Her family speaks about her the way people speak about women who have arrived.

But she knows something is off.

She cannot name it yet.

That is the part nobody tells you about this stage of a career. That the hardest problem to solve is the one you do not yet have the language for.

She knows the promotion did not come. She knows the raise did not match. She knows there are meetings she should be in that she is not, and rooms where decisions are being made about her without her, and offers that keep almost coming but never quite arriving.

She knows she has been the strongest second choice more times than she has let herself count.

She knows something needs to shift. And she has tried the things she has been told to try. She has certified more. Delivered more. Read the books. Attended the retreats. Waited for the mentor. Hoped for the pathway.

None of it worked.

So somewhere in her, quietly, a smaller sentence has started to form.

Maybe this is just what it is.

Maybe this is as far as women like me actually get.

Maybe I have been reading the situation wrong all along, and this ceiling I feel around me is just the real one, and it is time to make peace with it.

I want to tell that woman something, and I want to tell her clearly.

You are not reading it wrong. Your instinct that something needs to shift is correct. And the reason you have not been able to name what you need is not because your case is unusual, or unfixable, or too far gone.

It is because nobody has ever taught you the language for what is actually happening.

You are not stuck because you lack capability. You are stuck because your value has never been translated into the room that keeps deciding about you.

That has a name. And it has a shift. And on Thursday, I am going to sit with you in a room and walk you through both.

Hello Reader Korede had already made it into the room. She had recently stepped into an executive role on a Board, an achievement many leaders spend years working towards. But after a few meetings, a different question started bothering her: Am I actually showing up in this room the way I want to? Not whether she deserved to be there. Not whether she had the experience. Not whether she was capable. She wanted to become more intentional about how she spoke, when she spoke, how she challenged...

Hello Reader Thank you for spending the last 90 minutes with me. ❤️ I loved the energy in the room today: the questions, the reflections, the moments of recognition, and especially the conversations around what it really means to translate your value. Because if there is one thing I hope you leave today’s masterclass knowing, it is this: Your experience has value. Your expertise has value. But value that isn’t translated can remain invisible. You can be brilliant at what you do, have decades...

Hello Reader In sixty minutes, I am opening the Zoom room, and I want to tell you plainly what is about to happen inside it. For the next 90 minutes, I am going to give you something I have spent over twenty years learning in the rooms where decisions about accomplished women get made. You are going to walk out of this masterclass with four things. One. A clear picture of why the recognition you have earned has not yet translated into the opportunities, income, and influence you have been...
